Independence Day

Every year, the Foundation joins the students and staff of Government High School, Yellanalli for the flag hoisting and pledge — and carries its Education pillar into the school gates with the planner and journal distribution.

The morning began the way it always does — students in formation for the flag salute, the national pledge recited together, and the Foundation’s committee standing alongside the school’s staff and the wider community who gathered for the occasion.

This is also where the Foundation’s Skill-Based Education Program meets its students directly: a goal-setting planner and journal, distributed into their hands, with a Foundation membership form built into the back page. It is a small object, but it is meant to travel home with every student and stay useful long after the day itself.
